Trailhead is on the west side of Maine State Route 113 in Chatham, NH, 3.2 miles north of the north end of the Rt. 113B loop and 12.2 miles south of Rt. 2. From late fall to early spring, Rt. 113 through Evans notch is closed, and this trailhead can only be accessed from the south. The trailhead is located 0.6 miles north of the Baldface Circle Trail parking. It is poorly marked; heading north, look for a grassy woods road on the left, just before the loop driveway to house #218 on the right side of the road. Parking is limited on the road shoulder. This scenic cascade series is one of the shorter and easier hikes in the Evans Notch area, although the trail sees few visitors. It is not well marked from the road, but once you find it, it is easy to follow and gradual. A long chain of cascades combined with impressive expanses of ledge make it a worthwhile visit and an interesting place to explore.
From the indistinct trailhead, follow the unmarked grassy road into the woods. This is the Mt. Meader Trail. The trail follows an old road and winds through a semi-cleared area before heading into the woods. After 0.4 miles, it joins up with Mill Brook and follows it upstream. The trail remains wide and gentle as it continues along the brook. It climbs easily for 0.45 miles before passing by some interesting cascades where the brook shoots through a narrow sluice carved into striated bedrock, just off the side of the trail. 0.15 miles further up the trail, bear left at a junction where a spur trail leads the final 0.1 miles to the main falls. They don't have one singular impressive drop, but the stream cascades sharply down a huge mass of ledge. It divides and twists as it flows down the open ledges, and you can explore upstream and down as the cascades trail off.
